This application is saving the accounting department at least 10 hours of labor per week, paper and the utilization of a courier service• Automated some existing processes and optimized others on the Unisys mainframe (ex: converted file transfer process to using SanDataMover instead of FTP to reduce CPU utilization, automated the daily review of DTS import logs by parsing and consolidating all errors in a single email report, added automatic statistics and error reporting via email to 8 main nightly batch processes, created application that keeps track of unused (“forgotten”) files on the mainframe for compliance purposes (WFL scripting)• Designed and coded cross platform application which tracks critical files change information on the Unisys mainframe (for compliance), ETL into a SQL database (coded using WFL, Cognos macro scripting). It includes a reporting part build using both SSRS and Cognos Impromptu, which sends automated reports to auditors for PCI compliance purposes• Designed and coded complete data mart solution for BI reporting (SSIS and Cognos Impromptu reports). Files from a Unix platform are being imported into a SQL database and several reports (Cognos) are being run subsequently, including a set of extract files for a SQL (BAM) database (3rd party solution specializing in Bank Secrecy Act reporting) (VB.NET, Cognos)• Reduced processing times significantly (50%) for several reports and extracts by optimizing a Very Large Database (SQL 2000)
