Heart saves a 16 year old boy, liver saves a 23 year old female, lungs-42 year old mother of 2......These are some of the results of my 84% consent (close) ratio as a Donation Coordinator. At first glance my background is varied from business administration, sales, clinical, marketing...they all have a common thread. I had to sell who "I" was in order to gain trust...I had to grab the "heart" of my audience before their head would make the decision to follow. The 84% close ratio was for requesting organ donation from a loved one, a sacred time for these families. Talk about the need to build trust and rapport in a short amount of time. Building a relationship quickly is a talent and skill no matter what the end game. In my past sales positions, I achieved and in many cases exceeded sales goals consistently. I love feeling successful, mediocrity is not an option.I am resilient: Average length of stay nationally for my position is 18 months, I have given 7 years to this mission.
