About Mark Frederick
Mark Frederick graduated from Penn State Altoona with a bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in History. He concluded his college career with a 3.8 GPA (Lambda Pi Eta). Mark’s primary passion is filmmaking, but he also enjoys photography, design and writing. He combines history and film quite often. Mark interned and was later hired at the Baker Mansion History Museum in his hometown of Altoona, PA. While employed for this non-profit organization, it was his responsibility to assist with exhibits, manage social media accounts, design the website and photograph events, along with managing the museum store.While at WPSU Penn State, a PBS-affiliate station, Mark helped producers and project managers create a documentary about the Vietnam War in Pennsylvania. He contributed content to their interactive website and social media. He was later hired by them as a Video Production Assistant and Broadcast Manager.Mark currently works at the Railroaders Memorial Museum as their Director of Digital Outreach, improving their exhibitions, collections and online presence.Mark enjoys cinema, artwork, photography, traveling and participating in educational events, including managing the Furious Fourth WWII Living History Association, a non-profit organization he co-founded in 2013.
