Search Room Archivist
CurrentWorking within a dedicated professional team in the theory and practice of managing the nation’s principal archive, with particular duties in readers’ services. Responding to a wide range of archive-related enquiries, both in person in our public search rooms and remotely, and advising on the complex, extensive and diverse record sets we hold. Conducting initial genealogical and historical research on enquirers’ behalf, employing palaeographic, diplomatic and general historical research skills, as well as providing guidance to our records, catalogues and research guides. Working extensively with archival and other workplace data systems such as CALM, Objective ERDM and Jira.
