About Mark Adams
Following an incredible three years in Mongolia, I have saved enough money to finance eight months of volunteer work in India - read my blog - www.nomadiceducatorinindia.blogspot.com to fin out more about this incredible opportunity and to follow my journey.pre- Sept 2018 belowNever, in my future, did I expect to find myself 'leaving home' and heading for Mongolia. Yet, here I am! Living in the 'Blue Sky Country'. Eighteen months in and I am immersed in my job and feel very at home amongst the people and city of Ulaanbaatar. A country of extremes, Mongolia is bringing out skills I knew I had, but had never needed to utilise before. Both personal and professional. This current academic year I am working as EYFS Co-ordinator having set up the department housing 2 pre-school classrooms and a Reception classroom last year, whilst teaching year 2. Teaching the same EYFS and National Curriculums as back home ensures that I remain connected to trends in the UK whilst supporting education developments in a completely different country.

Having retrained as as teacher 7 years ago and, after 6 years as a Reception class teacher, I moved to Mongolia to work at the British School in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Having spent the first year teaching a year 2 class, I returned in September 2016 as EYFS Co-ordinator. Gaining experience in management over my second year, led to me also becoming KS1 Lead for my third year. An incredible experience working and living in Mongolia, during which time I have grown both personally and professionally.
