An experienced senior leader of change and transformation in the physical activity, sport and Leisure sector, having worked in both private and public sectors. Mark led the Sport and Leisure service in Leeds for most of the 25 years he worked for the City Council before semi retiring in 2020. He also held a number of NED roles outside the work environment including Leeds Rhinos Foundation, Leeds Tiathlon Centre (now Triathlon Leeds) and Skills Active. Mark has also held the position of Chair of the Chief Culture and Leisure Officers Association (cCLOA) between 2015 and 2017 and immediate past Chair until 2019 and remains an active member of the cCLOA Executive, now serving as Hon Secretary.Currently Mark is Associate partner with Axentia Group. He is a collaborative leader and relationship builder. Specialities include public sector, change management, strategic management, sport development, facility management, wellbeing/physical activity systems and major world events.
