Here at Navistar we are a direct mail company under a 250’000 square foot facility. I manage the pressroom at NDM responsible for scheduling, purchasing consumables, speaking with clients, sales, CSR’s and overseeing layouts from Pre press for our 10/C UV LED Heidelberg presses to our many webs multiple jet presses and our Indigo HP 12,000. The list grows.

It has been a pleasure learning state of the art 8/c 40" Komori presses along with our Indigo Digital machines here at Mount Royal. Besides running the presses occasionally, scheduling, press ok's, working with sales, vendors,and sales service, job layouts are some of my other duties.

As press room GM I am responsible for the entire job before it even hits the floor. From the layout, to the sheet count, to mixing the correct ink for the job. I also make sure any corrections were made and the sheet matches the proof before running. Working with vendors is something I love to do, getting a great consumable for the cheapest price.Million.

Given the complexity of work, and company commitment to the highest standards of quality, I work diligently with customer service and the press department. Coupled with my hands on experience with London Litho’s 6/color Heidelberg I was able to improve the final printed results via improved planning.

I ran all the most recent 40” Heidelberg presses for 6 years. I was personally involved in the planning, and printed all the forms of the only Grand “Q” in Cavanaugh’s history. My last 5 years at Cavanaugh Press I handled all aspects of scheduling, troubleshooting, color control, process and procedure improvement on the night shift.

I started at Gamse as a 2/color Heidelberg operator. Within one year I was running a 6/color Heidelberg with a tower coater. I learned much about high quality printing on difficult stocks with immense coverage.

I began my career in printing as a helper on a 78” Harris 4/color. After 2 years as an apprentice, I was quickly moved up to the position of 2nd pressman.
