Working with all UK Shippers I supported the delivery and development of a range of Gas Entry Capacity Auctions where I gained a wealth of knowledge regarding the UK gas capacity regime. This knowledge was utilised across a number of Network Code modification workgroups and in the development of National Grid’s internal capacity strategies.
National Design Analyst
My first role at National Grid focused heavily on National Transmission System (NTS) network modelling, annual capital plan development and design/delivery of NTS investment schemes. At the start of 2007 I was promoted from Design Assistant to a Design Analyst within the Network Design team and took on the role of Scheme Team Leader for all NTS diversion projects, encompassing the production of all Diversion Scheme Investment & Sanction Papers. Lead analyst for all analysis relating to the entry permits incentive scheme for the annual Entry Capacity auctions, the Ofgem Entry Capacity Baseline re-consultation and the Entry Capacity Substitution Network Analysis methodologies.
