As Regional Director this position is responsible for over $1.6 Billion in export sales of US soy products. The region covered Europe (EU27), Turkey and Russia/Ukraine and the Maghreb. The regional offices are based in Amsterdam. As Regional Director of Europe, primary responsibilities are for strategic creation, direction and implementation of marketing and promotional programs, increasing distribution of US soy products, administrative affairs and maintaining and increasing sustainable trade for US soy products to the region. Key success factors have included establishing new contacts and maintaining close relationships with industry stakeholders in the food and feed sectors such as dairy, soy based consumer products as well as poultry, livestock and aquaculture producers. In additon the region works with USDA Foreign Agricultural Service offices and other US cooperators. Mr. Andersen has 35 years of global leadership experience in international business strategy and development, identifying and opening up new markets for perishable and non-persihable food and feed products, marketing, sales, imports and exports, finance, manufacturing, labor relations, procurement and government relations. His Masters of International Management (Thunderbird), along with his experience in working in over 60 countries in animal nutrition, human nutrition, market access, biotechnology, sustainability, food, dairy and confectionary products provides a unique blend of professional experience.
