About Mark Mueller

“We build too many walls and not enough bridges” Isaac NewtonI am a firm believer that by using a collaborative, coordinated and communicative approach, organizations and individuals alike can achieve quality results together. By sharing information and ideas - building bridges - amongst diverse stakeholders, balanced, context-sensitive solutions can be developed and implemented. As a Transportation/Environmental Planner with over 15 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary consulting environment, I have had the opportunity to work on a range of transportation planning and preliminary design assignments in both urban and rural areas. My experience has focused on the stakeholder engagement, team coordination and environmental assessment aspects of transportation infrastructure projects. As a key contributor to developing context-sensitive solutions and successfully completing environmental assessments, for projects ranging from major highway expansions and realignments to bridge replacements, I have experienced first-hand the importance of developing positive relationships within a multi-disciplinary project team environment and amongst diverse stakeholders to achieve quality, balanced results. The background image above is a photo I took of the Salginatobel Bridge (Salginatobelbrücke) located in Canton Graubünden, Switzerland. The bridge was completed in 1930 and was designated an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It serves as a key link to a rural mountain community.

Listed skills include Communication, Technical Documentation, Project Coordination, Environmental Impact Assessment, and 8 others.
