This role had a wide ranging scope over the contract. Three MLD institutions were merging. The project involved setting up the logistics behind this project and support there in. I facilitated setting up school and volunteer groups to address various material and cosmetic targets within the merger. The challenge was to work with the various bodies aligned with an MLD school. This gave me a real exposure and understanding of people with learning difficulties and the challenges they face. This mirrored my experience with the Scottish Youth Group and leadership role within that.
