Mark Ashlock is a consultant with more than 35 years of healthcare experience, including 25 years of consulting and over 10 years in executive healthcare leadership. This unique background provides consulting services from the vantage point of both health system leader and physician perspectives. He provides services to health systems, hospitals, physicians, medical groups, payers, and other related health care entities. Ashlock has significant transactional experience with health systems, hospitals, and medical groups. He has represented health systems in the purchase, sale, and merger of hospitals, including physician enterprises and health plans. His work has spanned the country representing clients across numerous markets. Being continuously based in California, Ashlock has experience working with acute care hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals (LTCH), post-acute care, ambulatory clinics, and children’s hospitals. He has developed medical foundations and other medical practice entities to ensure compliance with the California corporate practice of medicine requirements.Ashlock has directed the formation of multi-specialty and single specialty medical groups including the integration of independent physician offices into group practices. He also has provided direction in the merger, reorganization and dissolution of medical groups, affiliated medical groups, and hospitals. In addition, Ashlock has extensive experience with ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), include the initial development, restructuring, and sale. He also has significant transactional experience having participated in more than 500 physician practice purchases, mergers, and sales of professional business entities. His experience includes valuation and sale of professional practices and business entities.
