Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, Mark has specialised in employment and disability, sex, and race discrimination cases. Mark has been recognised for his ‘dedicated’, ‘meticulous’, and ‘strategic’ approach to cases, and has successfully represented clients in complex and difficult discrimination claims. In 2001 Mark successfully won the first posthumous disability discrimination case. In his role as a professional lead lawyer and regional manager for Thompsons Solicitors, the employment department which he managed represented more than 20,000 women in their public sector equal pay claims, conducted appeal proceedings before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal. As the Head of Employment and Discrimination Law at an award-winning City based firm, Mark has provided advice and guidance to schools, charities, faith-based organisations, and businesses on all aspects of employment and discrimination law including redundancies and reorganisation, mergers and acquisitions, disciplinary and grievances, and policy reviews.
