Alpha Designs are in my mind the number one, non branded fabric sofa manufacturer in the country.They do everything the retailer wants, fantastic sofas, great delivery / service and pleasing margins. I have been their Northern agent for over 6 years. Great family business.

Ancient Mariner Furniture, are a family business who I have really enjoyed working with over the last 15 years. Very professional. I cover the North of England, East Midlands and Lincs. One of the best cabinet companies around.

At the time that I took on the position of UK Sales agent for this German manufacturer of Living / Dining flat pack furniture, the UK market was not ready for this superb product. Now it would be very different. However we were successful with the independents , but needed that one group retailer to commit at the time. Good memories.

I imported and wholesaled high end mirrors from a Dutch manufacturer, with great success. The owner of the company in the Netherlands retired, hence I finished supplying my customers with his products.

I sold this non branded Scandi style range of Leather recliner chairs with stools in the North of England.Very successful with the Independents. A lovely product.

An absolute pleasure to work for the giant of UK upholstery, Christie- Tyler. I represented Cambria Mobel , fabric and leather manufacturer.I was the Northern sales manager for 5 years, then added on East/ West Midlands, Lincs and East Anglia for the next 4 years. Learnt so much from the best around the industry.

Part of the Airsprung Group, Duckers were part of the Pine revolution. Manufacturers of Scandinavian redwood bed frames and bedroom furniture. I worked the North West as their representative.Very enjoyable time , and was a success. I however wanted to work the whole of the North of England and moved on.

During this period of my working life, I was a sub agent and partner to my Dad Terry Barrett.Absolutely fantastic agent and salesman.We worked the North West of England, North Wales and Staffs.On the agency side we were involved with P Ruddiman ( multi -product importer ), Regent Pine , Forrest Rugs.Also we wholesaled Indian and Belgian rugs to the furniture and carpet trade.It was an absolute pleasure to work with my Dad.
