Developing SQL Server Reporting Services reports, and related T-SQL queries from the Microsoft Dynamics AX SQL database. Reports ranged from Production Costing, Estimating and Load Planning, through Time & Attendance and bar coded job documentation, to documents such as Invoice, Delivery Note, etc.

Responsible, initially, for the overall management of the direction and development of our Time and Attendance product. My responsibilities increased to include the strategic planning of all our software products, management of the development and customer services departments and the in-house training function. More recently, product development has been aimed at the consumer personal finance market.

While in the role of Technical Director for Enfield Computers, I also held the position of ICT Manager for Deaf Alerter. Here I had responsibility for all aspects of finance, procurement, provisioning and on-going support, managing a small multi-role team.

Since being transferred to this Hong Kong based company, responsibilities are largely unchanged but with an emphasis moving away from Digital Equipment related projects towards Microsoft. This movement has also given rise to a dual role as T & A Product Manager within Enfield Computers Limited, a sister company within the group, until formally employed by that company.

Transferred to more appropriate company within the group, with added responsibility for the management of the Customer Support Department. A three man team provided front-line telephone support and full bug-fixing support on a range of 10 application packages over 15 - 25 customer sites, many with bespoke variations. The department was considered instrumental in the gaining of CSA membership in 1985.On reorganisation of the support function into the development department, due to the widening scope of systems produced, appointed as DEC Development Department Manager, reporting to the Development Director. Systems developed at this time include BACS interfaces for Payroll and Purchase Ledger and the Tele-sales Order Processing system.Further involvement in more technical design and development was recognised in a promotion to Technical Consultant and then Senior Technical Consultant, with prime responsibility for internal technical support, proposal validation and hardware configuration, and pre-sales support for new technology projects.

Initially employed as the first permanent programmer, to provide Dibol experience for a contracted analyst to allow completion of financial ledger systems. Completed the project as a Programmer/Analyst with responsibility for designing customer requested modifications and for providing full support.Promoted to Systems Implementation Consultant, with responsibility for carrying out site-surveys, preparing installation check-lists and ensuring customer satisfaction through to the expiry of warranty.
