Due to my recent layoff from American Stationery, I had to seek employment where available. Though my recent employm, ent has been in fast food with Pizza Hut as a delivery driver also substitute teaching within the Peru Community School system. I have obtained a vast array of experience in the medical field and with electronic devices. I began as a monitor tech and became proficient in reading EKG's rhythm strips in the Intensive Care Unit. at Western Arizona Regional Medical Hospital ( formerly Bullhead Community Hospital), full time in 1991-1994. As my interest grew , I studied to be an EMT and later trained to be a firefighter with the City of Bullhead Fire Dept. graduating in July 1991. I continued with my education and completed paramedic course earning a certification of completion in July 1993. After returning to Indiana I continued to work as a firefighter, but in a commerial capacity. Due to recent outsourcing of my permanent job at Daimler Chrysler in Feb. 2004, after 7 years of service in their fire department under the title of fire specialist, it became necessary to retrain in another profession. In August of 2004, I started a new career as converting press operator, later as a combo attendent/shipping with American Stationery in Peru,IN. While, working at the printing plant, I also completed a home- based medical billing/transciptionist course in May 2005. Although I continued to be employed at American Stationery for the following three years. I have been layed off twice this year January to February and most recently June 2008 and then again in Jan. 2009 to present. With this in mind, I find it necessary to pursue yet another career in a stable business. I recently applied and got my teaching license #SC465809 for substituting within the Peru Community School system.
