With serving as a loyal employee at UnitedHealthcare for over 21 years, I have gained well rounded experience within the medical insurance industry.My initial experience at UnitedHealthcare starting in 2001, included my time in various contract analyst positions working with mid-level to larger client accounts. I excelled as a contract analyst while drafting certificates of coverage, summary plan descriptions and administrative service agreements for medical and ancillary products. Communicating and negotiating contract language with clients, brokers and internal partners was a critical element with these types of roles.In 2018, I accepted a position in the United Retiree Solutions (URS) segment as a Benefit Consultant. The main function of this role was to accurately capture the benefit intent of UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans, in relation to the client’s existing retiree medical coverage. Per the request of management, in 2020 I received my insurance sales producer license with a line of authority in accident and health or sickness. This license allows me to communicate retirement benefits to prospective members during open enrollment meetings.In December of 2021, I was recommended for and accepted the role of Senior Implementation Manager. This position is responsible for onboarding new clients with Medicare products to the URS segment within UnitedHealthcare. Overseeing a successful client implementation requires leading weekly client facing meetings, tracking tasks within a project plan, and helping to resolve problems that may arise with the client.
