The family business (2 hotels) has been developed over 25 years and is now over ten times the size it was originally. During this period I have had the pleasure of working with one of the best teams in the business. Whilst we could have grown faster we decided early on to limit bank borrowings and try to grow organically from cash flow. Today in 2016 our bankers estimate our gearing at 18% of the business value which is well below industry averages.
