During Senior Project my partner and I designed a new safety shut down mechanism to shut down a cold working wire drawing machine when there is a jam in the feed wire.This project gave real world experience while working hand in hand with Johnstown Wire Technologies and using previously learned mechanical engineering background to meet the design requirements of the company in a real world situation.I was able to extensively learn how to use Pro-E and Anysis to build and analyze our design before presenting it to the company. Machine Design Project; During this project a door needed to be designed for a cardboard baler that would meet the design specifications.I was able to obtain knowledge about manufacturing processes with the chosen materials as well as work within a budget while maintaining the given safety factor.
