I am a geographer proficient in academic research with expertise in Latin America (particularly Honduras). I am an author on 50 publications and have given over 100 professional talks. My areas of expertise include relationships between people and the environment, ethno-ornithology, ethnobotany, human rights, cultural ecology, and social theory. I also give talks to popular audiences and lead tours. My major professional contributions have included the discovery of fire-spreading in raptors, pioneering work in biodiversity monitoring in Honduras, human uses of cycads, theory and practice of ethno-ornithology, and application of Deleuzian thought to the social sciences.
