Mark is excited to offer his 30 years of experience in public education to Braintrust and our clients. Most importantly, in his former role as Senior Administrator of Expanded Learning with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, he facilitated the partnership between CMS and 30 high-dosage tutoring vendors including Braintrust. Within his department from 2022-2024, CMS offered virtual and in-person tutoring working with these vendors serving over 100 schools and almost 18,000 students. Mark has a unique perspective and background that has equipped him with a comprehensive set of tools, skills, and experiences that will enable school, district, and/or state education department clients the opportunity to offer a variety of learning solutions for students. Having held numerous teaching and leadership positions including Tutor, Social Studies Teacher, Department Chair, Coach, Assistant Principal, Principal, Executive Director, and his latest position with Expanded Learning, he understands the importance of school/district leadership, the fidelity of program implementation, and leveraging personnel, with a focus on standards-based instruction, aligned intervention, and assessment outcomes. He is very passionate about the teaching and learning process and is eager to help students.
