After serving for over thirty years in local church music ministry I have followed the call of God to make a transition from serving in the role of Music and Worship Pastor to serving as the Lead Pastor in a local Baptist congregation. I have thirty-five years of experience working in local church music ministry. Thirty-one of those years have been spent on church staff as a Minister of Music. Twenty-four of those years in a full-time capacity. I have been responsible for overseeing the complete music ministry of the churches I have served along with other duties of a pastoral nature including, but not limited to: overseeing special seasonal events and worship experiences; leading ministries to children, youth, singles and senior adults; supervising the pastoral care ministry of the church and some duties as church administrator. I have also filled the pulpit as the preacher for the day upon quite a number of occasions.After serving as a pulpit supply preacher and interim pastor for fourteen months I served the Union Baptist Church in Thomson, Georgia as Pastor for two and one-half years. I am now serving in my second pastorate at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera, Georgia.Specialties: Preaching, choral conducting for all age groups; teaching on the subjects of worship and spiritual formation; pastoral care in all settings.
