I am driven by a passion for sharing in the collective experience of human interaction. Food is powerful way that all humans interact with ourselves, our communities and the planet we all inhabit. I have planted myself firmly in the food industry precisely because of that interconnected nature. I have spent the last six years Farming at the Wegmans Organic Farm. I currently enjoy managing the vision of the farm and being a steward to the soil, plants and people who work with me. Each day is filled with the challenges of farming in the digital age. Using technology and tools to improve what we do while looking back in time for inspiration as we confront and seek to minimize our impact in the face of climate change. After studying Sustainable Business in Vermont for my undergrad I decided to try and make an impact on our food system. I started working for Wegmans Food Markets to learn about how the average person interacts with the food system. It has been a ride wild ride. I have cooked in commercial kitchens. I have packaged food for customers. Stocked shelves and cleaned floors. I transitioned to farming for Wegmans at the Wegmans Organic Farm and Orchard after a year of working in the grocery store. I discovered a true passion for growing food and sharing agricultural stories. In the past 6 years of farming I have strived to learn everyday about agriculture, its impact on the world, and my place in the world of food.
