Mark is a public sector commercial and sourcing specialist who has strong skills in the management of change and creation of policy. I led our work with the Department of Energy and Climate Change advising on the letting of four major contracts and the letting of a licence to manage those contracts. This has put in place a national communications network that will communicate with almost every home in Great Britain and involved negotiating with a wide range of major telecommunications companies. Saving over £400m against original business case though a strategic review and subsequent implementaiton - I worked with board members of National Savings and Investments to determine the organisation's future strategy when the existing contract expired and led the subsequent strategic project which procured a replacement contractor and saved over £400m against the original business case. More than 20% savings compared with current costs on the New UK Passport - I led this assignment for PA and was the Deputy Programme Director on this major programme for the Identity and Passport Service which procured the new UK passport with considerable savings.
