My duties have included research on international illegal immigration, leveraging technology in schools to improve outcomes, and corporate tax reform. I was stationed at a communication station where the primary duty was preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of ground-ground, ship-ground and air-ground electronic circuits that the Coast Guard used to communicate with itself and the surrounding fishing industry of Kodiak. Secondary duties included preventive maintenance of equipment and procurement for purchase orders. I was promoted three times during my military career, helped coach little league football and basketball, started a city league softball team, and tore my ACL for good measure. Was honorably discharged.
