With a business plan focused on key pillars the businesses community desired to improve the City Centre over the 5 year term.As Chair of the Bid my focus is to ensure the Business plan is delivered and offer outstanding value for money to all the levy payers, along with the continued stakeholder relationships within the City to aspire for change and a stronger and more vibrant business quarter.Leading the board whose role is to provide a coordinated ‘business voice’ and an insight from the local business community on current trading conditions and experience of the real economy on a sector-by-sector basis we engage in the following activities1) represent and lobby for business to ensure the right resources are present in the city to support business competitiveness and growth2) communicate, record and respond to business issues that influence regeneration and growth3) contribute to the work of a task force or issue group where applicable4) work to develop an effective and long-term approach to business engagement5) provide a coordinated business voice for Peterborough on issues of common interest affecting the local economy6) provide a route for consultation and to cascade communication to business7) provide a lead link for the local authority on initiatives such as "leveling up" & "Towns Fund Deal".
