Profile bio

About Mark Brown

I have currently been working in the railway sector for just over 6 years. In this time I have been apart of some fantastic projects including NWEP phase 1&2, EGIP and the MMLE project. On these I started out as a trainee lineman but was soon recognised for my leadership and management skills. After a year I was being utilised not only as a lineman but also a supervisor when needed. After 2 and a half years I gained my OLEC 3/Senior lineman status and continued to work as a Senior lineman/Supervisor throughout each project. I am now looking to transfer into either the powerlines industry or construction industry.I was a serving member of the British Armed Forces for just over 10years. I had an extremely prolific career with numerous Tours of Duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, coupled with Exercises on nearly every continent of the world. I rose through the ranks and enjoyed the comradery of working within a close knit team. With a vast array of accrued skills gained from time served both in the infantry and Royal Horse Artillery with particular expertise in the control and terminal execution of calling in fires from both land (FST) and air (JTAC) I believe the physical and academic skills gained can be an absolute transferable asset in an alternative career, which I now seek in construction.

Listed skills include Military Engineering, Boxing, First Aid, Weapons Handling, and 45 others.
