My role has been diffrent throughout the job so far!I have been used in diffrent teams were needed as a operater/linesman conducting work such as landing steel to sps , registration, and running wire.

Nw Electrification Project

Dureing this role i was used in variouse positions being (groundsman,linesman,supervisor) i was to ensure that the jobs planned for that night/week was completed with minimum fuss or delay and to the required standards of Network rail.Groundsman- I was to ensure all tools and slings were acceptable and in good working condition. I had to level the nuts before the steel being landed and putting in the rake required for the specific type of steel.Linesman- I was to also help the groundman landing steel but when we had Booms, SPS, or registration and wireing to do i was to ensure i had the correct tools while being in the basket installing what was required within the time frame given. Supervisor- I was brought into a weekly meeting with the steel manager while we were told of the plan of work for the following week. This is were we would also give our input as to how best to do certain jobs dureing us haveing the ground experiance and seeing the locations in person. We would help plan the works aswell as contact the manager daily giveing him frequent updates while completeing all relevant paperwork on the night. I had to ensure the workforce were briefed according to the primary contracters H&S regulations and that they were fully aware of the works takeing place each evening. Show less

Nw Electrification Project

As a trainee i was under supervision and guidance from senior linesman. My role was to watch learn and were i could help with the installation of large steel and SPS. After a few weeks i was left in the basket by myself to begin putting into practice what i had learnt includeing installing steel masts booms and sps asking for advice if or whenever i was stuck.

The former - JTAC is seen throughout the armed forces as an extremely privileged and well respected position, which only the top percent of Non Commissioned Officers and Junior Officers alike can do.JTAC - A Joint terminal attack controller (JTAC) is the term used in the United States Armed Forces for a qualified military service member who, from a forward position, directs the action of combat aircraft engaged in close air support and other offensive air operations. This job has taken me to the greatest parts of America and in co-ordination with some of the US Air Force's elite fast jet pilots and JTACs has solidified both spectacular experiences but also a detailed understanding of the more technical aspects of the job.I am now the rank of bombardier where I formulate plans, connect with different organisations, controlling administration and man management ensuring time lines are met. At the young age of 18 years old the opportunity to take part in one of the early OP TELIC Tours of Duty was not only a true eye opener but also provided an abundance of experience and teachings within my new workplace. My second tour of Iraq was equally the same and brought with it clarity and being placed as an 2ic aswell as a team medic through out the tour i got to see many changes in the way in wich we did tactics and gained the experiance i needed to be the best i could be.
