2021 marks my second year practising Interior Design / Styling. I know some will scoff at this segue, however, I never did properly announce...even acknowledge this shift in my life...following a 35 year career in Public Relations for which I'm mostly known. I had quite a ride let me tell you, however, as my dear mother used to say, "know when to leave the party". And so I did...in Xmas 2018. Sayonara Cav Con! Thank you and goodbye. I've spent the last two years traveling with my partner, Warren (until Covid reared its ugly head) while also dabbling in varied design jobs and refining my skills along the way. For those of you who don't know, I was actually a student at the then 'Sydney College of the Arts' back in the early 80's, but a deferral in my 3rd year saw me fall into an entirely different world...that of PR and marketing. So in many ways I'm simply coming full circle! I'll be launching a website soon...modest though that may be...and where I'll be able to upload just some of what I've been up to of late. I've taken my time with it simply because I wanted to at least have a small body of work under my belt. Perhaps it seems a a little strange making such a diametric shift after pursuing another path for so long...but I'm a firm believer in that other old adage..."it's never too late". And for me, the PR ship had well and truly sailed. Besides, everybody should re-invent themselves at least once in their life don't you think?Anyhow...enough waffle. Watch this space!
