Responsible for public outreach on key water and energy issues, helping residential and key commercial customers resolve utility issues, deploying strategic outreach methods to assist RPU in meeting water and energy conservation mandates, building strategic relationships with stakeholders, responding to crises and solving them with timely information and transparency. Achievements:Strategic drought outreach to persuade 64,000 metered water customers to conserve 4.4 billion gallons of water in one year and reduce average monthly use by more than 20 percent. Led development of the new RiversidePublicUtilities.com. Provided marketing expertise for economic development programs that helped local businesses stay and grow in Riverside during the economic recession, while growing the local tax and employment base. Raised profile of the Green Power Report radio show by securing guests like Congressman Raul Ruiz, California Senator Kevin de León, California Secretary for Natural Resources John Laird, and leaders from Bloomberg, Ford Motor Company, Verizon, the American Public Power Association, Utility Dive, Black & Veatch, and Rocky Mountain Institute, among other notable guests.
