"front Office" activities for Mexico Division - primary customer interface for DaimlerChrysler Engineering (Truck Thermal Systems and MOPAR), Air International (General Motors), and Ford (Service) for all division activites including review of technical proposals, product specifications and compliance, and negotiating changes, timing, and pricing. Products include Radiators and Charge Air Coolers. This position required co-location in the primary customer's facility.Also served as Program Manager to facilitate transfer of key product from US division to Mexico division, including customer relations. Responsible for managing Engine Cooling Module projects for DaimlerChrysler vehicles, including MBUSI, Truck, Jeep, Mini-VAn and PVO groups. Planned and managed numerous engineering projects for entire life cycle to satisfy customer Thermal System needs. Served as task leader, providing detailed oversight, leadership, and review of assigned projects. Acted as primary customer contact, directing product development teams, and tracking project costs and progress. Developed work statements, budgets, master timing schedule, and conducted meetings with customer and internal management teams. Project tracking software experience includes Microsaof Project, and PS7.Primary products include condensers, radiators, and engine cooling modules. Depending on the project, annual sales ranged from $240,000 to $90,000,000. Single digit ppm quality levels achieved on many products.Identified as troubleshooter for handling difficult products and/or customers.Project leader responsibilites also include Valeo/Chrysler joint venture for Valeo-Acustar Thermal Systems, including transition to Valeo competitor.Convinced management team to turn down project/product opportunity that was too risky.

Responsible for vehicle seating project on the Ford CT-120 program; including coordination of components and overall system design. Focal point for design centers, customer program management, safety office, assembly plants, suppliers, and Mexican operations to assure product acceptance and compliance. This vehcile was engineered by MAzda, built by Ford, with seating designed by Toyo Seat (Japan). The seats were built by Ford (PTPD) in the US, and by Lear Corporation in Mexico, with components supplied by Toyo Seat (US). COnducted comfort study for seating system, including objective and subjective measurements.Program Manager (Acoustic Products - Masland Division) - Overall acoustic products responsibility for various Ford Truck programs, including floor coverings and dash insulators. Interface for design, manufacturing, quality, marketing and senior management. Primary customer contact for engineering c hanges and pricing activities.

Systems engineer - Responsible for design and release of new seat belt restarint systems for numerous Ford passenger car lines; interfacting with customers and providing engineering support for existing products for customer assembly plants and engineering functions.Engineering change review leader, and instructor for engineering documentation systems. Seat Belt Buckle QFD team leader. Conducted belt-tensioner study for occupant comfort.

Product Engineer - Responsible for product upkeep of various modular office furniture electrical systems and products; cost reduction activities for all products. Desgined and developed unique surface metal raceway electrical system on very aggressive schedule. Redesigned various electrical prodcuts including cable management products. Completed documentation for introduction of new 5-wire electrical system.Developed SOP for technical communications.
