Job Description - Project EngineerOverview:During this Placement i was responsible for the production of design, general arrangement & detail drawings,as well as parts requisitions & contract documentation to ensure the successful engineeringof all contracts.I co-ordinated projects from handover to the installation/completion phases.Able to work equally well both autonomously and as part of a team,Design systems using Solidworks and, from models and assemblies, created technical drawingscompliant with BS8888:2013 to an excellent draughting standard, whilst meeting deadlinesin a challenging and rewarding environment.Details: Production of original design drawings and 3D models in accordance with Relevantcompany procedures, Client specifications and national Standards, to include:o GA Drawingso Detail Drawingso P&ID’so PFD’so Piping Isometrics Raise Parts Requisition Sheets (Bill of Materials) through the use of Exact software(training is provided). Liaise with client to ensure delivered product meets their requirements, and furtherdevelop the information supplied / given at quotation stage, i.e.o Clarification of scopeo Confirmation of material specifications Co-ordinate delivery of bought outs to arrive in time for manufacture and installation. Provide help, support and guidance to Plasticon installation crews to facilitate smoothrunning of the project throughout the installation period. Record deviations from the agreed scope and itemise any hours, materials and othercosts associated with them. Inform Project Manager of these costs so that he maydeal with the commercial issues which arise. Generation of diagrams etc. to accompany quotations. Maintain and store files in accordance with the company’s procedures & standards. Provide technical back-up and support to the sales team. Competent use of required computer software, i.e.o Solidworkso MS Wordo MS Excel
