I am currently dividing my time by working in two distinct areas: freelance proofreading and copy editing; and civil celebrancy.For over three decades, I gained a wealth of experience as a dedicated schoolteacher. During the last eighteen years, I served as Assistant Headteacher at a large secondary school. In this role, I successfully led a team of staff responsible for the personal development and wellbeing of approximately 1400 students aged 11 to 18. While my leadership responsibilities have been significant, my true passion lies in English. I believe in the irrefutable power of reading and writing and have been indefatigably driven to instil this passion within my students.Now, as a proofreader and copy editor I can utilise my exceptional command of the English language and keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and syntax. I am committed to delivering accurate and polished written materials that meet the highest standards of quality. My goal is to ensure that every piece of content I work on is error-free, coherent and effectively communicates its intended message.In my work as a celebrant I aim to produce and deliver a ceremony which authentically reflects the personality and qualities of the client. I am happy to incorporate any cultural or religious elements as required. Every celebration is uniquely special and deserves to be made memorable. Finding just the right words for every occasion is very important to me.
