Mark is a Principal with SLR within the Process Engineering Group. With a background in consultancy, Mark has over 28 years’ experience in geo-environmental engineering, and has extensive project management experience, primarily relating to process engineering, with particular emphasis on waste water treatment, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, remedial treatments and operation and maintenance contracts, environmental risk assessment and environmental due diligence.Mark is an experienced project manager of large and multi-disciplinary projects and is competent in various ground investigation techniques for both geotechnical and contaminated land investigation. Recent projects have included the management of soil and groundwater contamination assessments, and remediation, the design and management of remediation systems, contaminated land, groundwater and soil gas investigations.With experience of in-situ, ex-situ and engineering solutions to contamination problems, including in-situ bioremediation, air stripping, carbon absorption, groundwater pump and treat, multi and dual phase extraction, air sparging, passive vapour extraction, cut-off trench design, passive and active barriers, solidification/stabilization, remedial pilot testing and monitored natural attenuation (MNA).
