Oversight and supervision of service providers for charter schools and school districts (psychologists, intervention specialists, vocational specialists, speech and language pathologists, and nurses. Also provides consultation for state EMIS reporting, and systems development.

Responsibilities include:Oversight and management of administrative operations for educational training facilities in Cleveland, Detroit, Jacksonville, and Kentucky.Administrative operations include the areas of: facility maintenance, recreation, dormitories, safety, security and transportation, student records, outreach and admissions, property management, and food services. Responsibilities included oversight of a division comprised of:Student Assignments - student enrollment & registration, special transfers, student records, student mobility, capacity, and management of residential zonesHearings & Appeals - responsible for the student code of conduct, administration of due process, suspensions & expulsions, home schooling, work permits, Ohio Department of Youth Services institutional returnees, referral to option schools, and involuntary transfers. Conducted data analysis.Responsible for interpretation of Ohio Revised Code and District policy on matters relative to the division. Responsible for federal WIA (Workforce Investment Act) grant writing submission and program oversight for at risk youth. Drafted and submitted district sponsored charter school proposals for consideration of federal and state dollars. Administered extensive district-wide training on an annual basis relative to division procedures and guidelines. Responsible for overall supervision of 45 staff members and an annual budget appropriation of approximately $4 million dollars. Ongoing collaboration with District Regional Superintendents, Principals, and various community agencies and stakeholders relative to all facets of the division.

Determining eligibility for program participants prescribed by grant guidelines.Managing and monitoring expenditure of the program budget relative to academics and recruitment. Communicating with various government and community agencies for recruitment purposes. Providing academic, career, and financial aid counseling to program participants.Assisting in retention and tracking of program students to ensure compliance of state and federal regulations.
