As a graduate of North Seattle Community College with an AAS in Biomedical Equipment Technology I have spent the last 2 years working as a contract Field Service Engineer/Technician for Hospira doing remediation on IV and PCA pumps. During this time I have gained valuable experience in managing projects, working in medical settings, coordinating and communicating with medical staff, local and out of state travel, time management, and working as part of a team or independently. in addition, having spent 20 years in the printing industry I have amassed many skills that will help me in my biomedical career. I have 10 years of leadership experience that included supervising employees, leading or participating in projects, and performing administrative functions. My expertise in customer service comes from years of working with and assisting customers (both internal and external) in planning projects, meeting deadlines, providing alternatives and cost saving options, managing the projects and seeing projects to completion. In addition, troubleshooting has been an important part of my career in diagnosing and resolving machines issues, as well as, issues with projects. I have worked independently and in team environments which included peers, technicians, management, and customers. I look forward to using these skills and my education to enhance my next career opportunity.
