Created and implemented a start-up plan that included operational procedures, staffing requirements, training plans, and warehouse equipment. Provided leadership to over 40 management professionals and 400 hourly associates. Ensured facility-wide goals were met and exceeded in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and people measurements. Communicated effectively with associates and management staff, along with stores, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Served as community liaison, and participated in local organizations.

Effectively directed facility performance of a 1.2 million square foot general merchandise distribution center. Managed budgets, projected and evaluated operational and financial performance, and forecasted manpower needs for over 450 associates and 50 managers. This facility operated with a mechanized break pack retrieval system.
