I took the job after Morgan County Food Rescue was closed. I checked trucks into and out of a secure warehouse, patrolled, checked employees in and out of the facility, observed, communicated and reported.

I have a passion for helping others and a passion for culinary arts and here I was able to put both to use. Mainly my days consist of picking up food donations from various organizations and taking them to other organizations in need of food. I would also help put together seasonal meal programs for children and families in need of food when schools are out of session. I would plan, order, and help prepare these meals to hand out within the community.

Working at the airport, I had a multitude of responsibilities. I sorted freight, scanned packages, stacked parcels, repackaged boxes, drove a tug, and loaded aircrafts. I was actually a load captain and that meant I was responsible for making sure the aircraft was loaded accordingly including proper handling of sometimes hazardous materials as I was also trained for proper hazardous materials handling. I also helped ensure the flights were verified and left on time.
