At Owen & Davis, I lead Marketing Services and our business development and technical programs. We provide marketing and copywriting services to small and medium-sized businesses. Our focus is achieving lifelong demand generation for clients, leaning heavily towards creativity and technology to do this. With an emphasis on brand strengthening and messaging, we interact with audiences to bring them into direct communication with the businesses we support. This paves the way for higher demand and a higher return on investment than other strategies.

- Messaging app start-up. This is a large ongoing project demanding visioning, full product and project ownership and software development. As a greenfield project, a low-cost start-up strategy with initial proof of concept has been adopted prior to any decisions pertaining to funding. As a system architected from the ground up, enterprise-level techniques have supported a scalable design under agile principles. Technologies and methodologies applied include Java, Spring Boot, domain-driven design, microservices, containerisation, polyglot persistence and AWS.- Temporary contract to provide business analysis for critical decision-making within an e-commerce company. Entailed analysis of cost bases, revenue streams and advertising effectiveness to report on the overall performance and cash flow position of the business.
