Engineer
CurrentAs a Sr. Sales Engineer at Teknic, Inc. I am responsible for generating new OEM prospects as well as acting as the main point of contact for technical support. I work directly with my OEM customers and their engineering team(s) to create system simulations and reports that relay pertinent data to the customer (such as reflected load inertia, inertia mismatches, system efficiency, torque/voltage requirements etc.) which is used to validate specific product recommendations. Once the customer approves of a given solution I will help with the integration of the Teknic components into their machine which typically includes: On-site tuning and configuration, application specific training on the products and their features, performing electrical/mechanical audits, and providing detailed, real-world performance documentation.Internally I manage the hiring process for Application Engineers and Sales Engineers as well as Engineering Co-op positions. This Typically involves:-Post job listings-Organize and manage all applicant data including their resumes, cover letters, and any additional information required for a given position-Schedule/manage phone interviews and on-site interviews for a group of three Sr. Sales Engineers (including myself)-Provide hiring recommendations to the VP of the company-Heavily involved with initial training of new employees
