Mark Decker is an author and amateur historian with a passion for reading, writing and history, whose work is often inspired by records of the past. Driven to share these stories with a fictional element added, he does so through stories filled with historical events and a cast of unforgettable characters, drawing for the historical facts into a fictional perspective.He has always had a vivid imagination and that combined with a love for history and writing makes for an inspired storyteller. He is the author of The Price of Glory, a historical fiction novel set in the American Civil War; and Spring Awakening, a historical fiction novel set in 1890’s France.He is currently broadening his writing scope with a three book fantasy series entitled The Tales of Dragonia, the first book of the series will be The Rise of Darkness. A release date has not been set on this book at this time.He is a member of the O’Fallon, Illinois Writer’s Guild and has given presentations on Writing Historical Fiction, The Civil War in Missouri, and Author speaking engagements.
