In his 9 years investigative experience with the NSW Police Force, Mark was responsible for investigating complex fraud, serious and sexual assaults, armed robberies and murder. . A number of those investigations required close work with national and international companies and numerous government agencies, supporting them in crisis and risk management, mitigating exposure and providing subsequent training and process frameworks. During this time, Mark gained invaluable regulatory experience with licensed premise operations which in turn led him to identifying an opportunity in the private security industry. He founded DSS Group Security, an industry innovator that provided over ninety guards to some of Sydney’s busiest and most influential venues. After seven years of commercial success, a corporate offer led Mark to the hospitality field, firstly as a Venue Manager before progressing to Licensee, Group Security & Compliance Manager and eventually Group Manager where he spent ten years managing numerous licensing and regulatory matters. This involved liaising with Police, OLGR, Councils and other stakeholders on legislative matters that impact businesses financially on a day-to-day basis. He has extensive experience in private investigations, HR, executive management, compliance, security and risk management and WHS. Further areas of management and investigation capability include civil liability claims, employee theft, workers compensation, unfair dismissal claims and security planning for small and large events.
