Mark Dew is a project manager at Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG), withover 15 years of forestry experience. Mark currently serves as the projectmanager for several initiatives, including the Asian Longhorned Beetle(ALB) Eradication Program in Worcester, MA, which is part of a long-term,multi-million dollar project. Mark typically manages between 40 and 100staff members on the ALB projects.Through his education and work experience, Mark has honed hisdendrology skills and is proficient in species-level tree and shrubidentification and tree risk assessment. Mark’s repertoire includesthe development of tree conservation plans as part of infrastructureimprovement projects and a keen understanding of tree preservationmeasures. Moreover, Mark has executed Level III tree assessments,engaged in air spade operations, and managed tree planting projects fornumerous municipalities and public and private entities.Mark’s recent project experience includes tree plantings for Concord,MA, and The Diocese of Fall River, MA, and the orchestration of a largescaletree planting for the City of Quincy Housing Authority under theCommonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation Greeningthe Gateway Cities program.Notable Project ExperienceSince early 2023, Mark has been the project manager for a non-chemicalapproach to managing Phragmites australis along the shoreline of aMiddlesex County reservoir and follow up measures to restore nativeplants.In 2024, Mark provided expert testimony at Massachusetts Land Courtfor the defense team regarding a tree that had fallen near the propertyboundary and was able to show the natural causes that led to the oaktree death.
