To manage and oversee the 150+ boys in my care as they progressed from Grade 10 to Grade 12. I oversaw a team of 5 Class Teachers, each responsible for 30+ of the boys in the Grade. Each term I was responsible for the pastoral care of the boys in my Grade, as well as overseeing discipline and academics. Communication with staff, boys and parents was crucial. In 2017 we began a Mentorship program using James Kerr’s book Legacy as a foundation. With the class teachers we set up counselling groups for boys to help them talk through issues related to school life and general boy stuff. We discussed values and traditions and how we could leave a legacy of our own. Towards the end of 2017 we set up mentoring with the Grade 8’s and had our Grade 11’s helping them through many of the things they had discussed themselves earlier in the year. We emphasised community outreach and I helped a group of boys get involved with Breath Of Life, a group in East London that cares for abandoned babies. They needed males to spend time with the babies so that when they were adopted they took to their new fathers a little easier. A group of 8 boys got stuck in and in 2018 also helped fund raise for the charity. In 2018 the Grade paired up with boys and Grade 8 and helped mentor them.

To run the Hockey Club at Selborne College. I coordinated the organisation of the yearly u14 Rob Taylor Tournament as well as the u18 Nomads Tournament in 2012. I managed the coaches, equipment and astroturf and helped the Master in Charge of Sport coordinate fixtures.
