MIGEM, AIOSH,LCIBSEHaving thirty five’ years experience in the building service and compliance industry, joining British Gas in 1990 as an engineer on the emergency response and commercial and domestic teams. After eight years with British Gas, Mark worked as an engineer and quality technician before developing and managing his own building services and maintenance business in 2000, working with clients including the NHS, social housing, commercial and private sector clients. In 2009 Mark began teaching in building services sector specialising in Health & Safety, gas, water and renewable services , and developed into a fully qualified teacher, assessor and quality assurance manager for several awarding bodies and competent person schemes. Mark contributed towards the development of ACS training centres and other building services qualifications and is a member of the Association of Safety & Compliance Professionals, the Institute for Occupational Health & Safety, the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers and a licentiate member of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers.Mark returned to project management within the industry in 2016, working with both social housing organisations and contracting companies, operationally managing and quality controlling multiple areas of compliance and technical operation. Mark joined CORGI Technical Services in 2017 and was part of the CORGI Technical Services team that carried out the investigation and report for the gas infrastructure within Grenfell Tower following the fire. He has chaired standards and been involved in supporting industry standards. Marks responsibilities include Compliance Risk Management (Gas, Water, Electrical, Asbestos, Lifts & Fire), quality control, CO & Gas related incident response, specialising in DSEAR risk assessment and provides technical support or training in the main compliance and technical areas for a number of organisations in both domestic and commercial sectors.
