Work to provide geospatial support to all 527 federally recognized tribes in the contiguous United States as well as different departments within the Bureau of Indian Affairs. By working together with Regional Geographic Coordinators, I help identify needs and solutions to GIS problems tribal communities are having to provide a wide range of support. Some of the BIA departments I support include, transportation, forestry, and the Division of Land and Title Records, as well as others. As the core GIS support team for all of the BIA I am constantly working on a variety of tasks in different scopes of GIS. In the short amount of time, I've been working I have helped to completely reformat historical datasets to allow easier integration in ArcGIS Insights to display tribal funding of climate change resources. Updating important existing datasets such as tribal boundaries and tribal office locations and names. Working with other team members to write and publish data usage guides and standard operating procedures. As well as remote sensing to help identify abandoned mines in tribal boundaries.

Fort Irwin, California, United States

Serve as an Intelligence Analyst as part of Division support of incoming training units at Fort Irwin The National Training Center. My role is to replicate the intelligence section at the U.S. Army Division level to provide support to Army Brigades training at Fort Irwin. We provide intelligence reporting, presenting presentations, conducting comprehensive analysis of past, present and future training events and provide 24 hour support and answer any questions the training unit might have. My main responsibilities within the intelligence section was to act as the Geospatial Intelligence specialist who focused on building, maintaining and sharing databases. I would handle Requests for Information (RFIs), build products, give mission briefings and ensuring constant direct communication with the customer. I also would provide up to date analysis of routes, enemy movements, enemy capabilities, terrain analysis and many other types of analysis.

As a Sales Manager I was in charge of daily operations within the store including but not limited to hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews as well as tracking sales and store performance goals. I first started at Sunglass Hut in 2010 as a sales associate and took a three year hiatus while I served in the U.S. Army. I returned to the store in 2015 as a sales associate and within the year was promoted twice to become a Sales Manager. During my tenure as Sales Manager my team had the two highest sales performance that the store had ever had. We were able to increase sales by over $100K within my first year and increased it even more by my second year. This success was due to my teams ability to learn and overcome obstacles and provide quality customer experiences which translated into results. Before leaving Sunglass Hut to pursue a new career in Defense Contracting I was offered the position of Store Manager at the Puente Hills Mall Sunglass Hut location, but declined to go in a different direction.

I enlisted into the U.S. Army as a 12Y Geospatial Engineer in 2012 and received formal GIS training in a 21 week course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. As a GIS Analyst I was tasked with making map products to support 3rd Infantry Division while deployed from 2013-2014. Responsibilities included data creation, data management, cross-agency collaboration, independent working under strict deadlines. On occasion it was necessary to provide intelligence briefings to high level military personnel as well as local city officials. In 2015 I was medically retired from service due to two meniscus tears to my right knee.
