My role involves auditing, in house and our partners, both copper and FTTP, ensuring the network is built and maintained to the quality standards, my role also includes surveying copper and fibre installation sites where appointments have failed due to lack of network, I also plan and survey areas where we plan to install ultra fast broadband , I audit PIA companies installations to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.I work on every aspect of the network from the exchange to the customer on both the copper and fibre networks.I am fully multi skilled.

Customer service coach, training and coaching engineers to be world class, not only to be experts in the use of the test equipment (JDSU & EXFO) but also to think like engineers, to solve any problems put in front of them, from the exchange to the customer equipment.This role also involved on the job coaching and using my key trainer skills to upskill engineers in new work streams such as broadband faulting, tracking cables and locating faults that are in buried sections of cable, UG skills in faulting and fitting joint closures, anything and everything that could cause a customer issue was covered increasing the knowledge and skills of an engineer.

Moving into a customer service role I learnt the ropes, working on my own or part of a team, I loved the problem solving aspect of the job as well as the customer interaction/satisfaction.

My first role within telecoms taught me about installing new telegraph poles, arial cables, joint remakes and customer installation.
