About Mark Eason
I have my own record label, The APO, which has a large repertoire but no sales (and the usual unauthorised download sites exploiting our repertoire).I have also been an artist all my life, and for years I was a freelance artworker/designer/illustrator (mostly in Central London). I started off after Art College at Palace Software as a games designer/artist, then I ended up at Martech in Brighton. After that went kaput I worked at The Body Shop International for a few years doing DTP/illustration (often for Anita R herself).I also studied Law to Barrister level later in life and I am now running a Holiday Lets business, hoping to get my French Property up and running one day. I have my main studio here in France and a tiny Summerhouse one in Hastings Old Town.I am mainly an oil painting artist these days as the software and complexity of modern computer games is beyond me.

I did everything that the internal Communications needed beyond basic DTP (which was done by someone else): illustrations, slide presentations, cartoon characters for environmental manuals, advanced design & layout, and anything Anita Roddick specifically wanted done (she often let me ransack her Life magazines for reference material). I was made redundant because The Design Department in London didn't like the idea of my developing the fledgling Multimedia aspects for In-Store use, which I started using my Computer Games experience from my Palace Software/Martech days in the 1980s.
