CurrentMark Williams brings years of involvement in Texas state and local politics. Mark has worked in multiple campaigns of House and Senate Members throughout his life. Mark graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Government. During college, Mark interned with several associations and advocacy groups at the state level. Mark went to work in the private sector after college before returning to a political career at the state capitol, working as the committee clerk and policy analyst on the Senate Education Committee and district director for Senator Larry Taylor (R-Friendswood). Mark also worked as his campaign manager, directing the operations of his Senate District 11 campaign. Prior to working in at the Capitol, Mark worked as the business development director at the largest independent marketing, advertising, and communications firm in Houston; recognized with local, state, regional and national awards on an annual basis in its 40-year history.Mark started his professional career in the energy service industry, a MWD field engineer for Weatherford and then as a sales director at Worldwide Power Products, where Mark formed relationships with local businesses, hospitals, and municipalities. Throughout his career, whether selling industrial hardware, developing strategic communications campaigns, working in the state legislature, or on the campaign trail, the end goal has always been the same: meet with people, learn their needs, and provide a solution.
