I am a Principal Research Advisor and Head of Internal Improvement in the EMEA region of The Behavioural Insights Team (aka the 'nudge unit').I love doing research like a carpenter loves working with wood. I have - >10 years of applied research experience, from entry-level research tasks to management of a team of expert researchers- delivered >100 research projects (eg field and online randomised controlled trials, policy notes, cognitive debiasing training)- delivered >30 training seminars (eg introduction to behavioural insights, intro to evaluation, debiasing decision making, forecasting), including to the head of the UK Civil Service- delivered >1000 talks in professional settings- a deep passion for process improvement and operational excellence
