Husky Energy is an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, with a global footprint in Western and Atlantic Canada, the United States, and the Asia Pacific region across upstream and downstream business segments. The West White Rose Project Director initially recruited me to reorganize the Packaged Equipment delivery program. This encompassed the daily management of transportation and logistics for packaged equipment and OEM product valued at $500M, incoming from Asia, Europe, and North America to two North American construction sites. I gained buy-in from the management team to implement an integrated project team strategy to accomplish this task, staffing a dedicated team alongside the E & E&P contractor and supply chain. I also introduced improved transport mapping and KPIs to successfully reduce collection and transport durations by 60% and meet performance metrics for 90% of the procurement program shipments (500+). By creating a threat-based delivery forecast and improved team resources to implement strategic interventions, we successfully reduced carryover work and facilitated the on-time fulfillment of 10 critical equipment deliverables to avoid damages over $100M.

During my tenure, the legacy management team was in preparation for retirement, and the division needed to maintain stable operations during the transition period. It was the optimal time to implement division-wide improvements, and I began by consolidating two manufacturing facilities into a single, cohesive facility to accommodate a recent acquisition. We reorganized the operational structure and personnel workflow to increase utilization and outsourced one of the underutilized functional groups to reduce overhead by 20%. Furthermore, I focused on commercial efforts to align the business with competitive project opportunities in response to global outsourcing trends.

To ensure the new division's success, I sourced and acquired a first-class facility, recruited top talent to fill initial staffing requirements, and implemented a behavior-based HSE program and an ISO-compliant QMS. We were able to reach a $75M annual revenue run rate in just 12 months.With the division in place and fully operational, I continued day-to-day management and P&L accountability, overseeing special projects as necessitated, including leading recovery operations to address damages sustained during Hurricane Ike.
